What we produce in the Netherlands

We create clothing and textile products for brands, designers, companies, or anyone who wants to produce their own clothing brand. Often, a process starts with a small idea or pilot, which we translate together into scalable local clothing production. Do you want to produce your own clothing brand or bring an existing line to the Netherlands? We guide you from the first conversation to full production.

How our production process works

We guide you step by step, so you know exactly what to expect.

  1. Introductory conversation and plan

In an online or live conversation, we discuss your idea, target audience, desired products, quantities, and budget. We assess whether you are ready for the next step and provide an initial indication of feasibility. You will receive an honest assessment and a general timeline.

  2. Production consultation: design and material sourcing

The preparatory phase for sampling. We assemble the collections and make choices about materials, color, size chart, labels, packaging, possible delivery times, and budget, and we document agreements. You will then receive a clear price per item and a proposal for planning.

    Production consultation rate

Fixed rate €220.00 (ex. VAT). Duration: on average a morning or afternoon, in our workshop or digitally.

  3. Pattern development and samples

Based on your sketches, references, or existing clothing, we develop patterns and make the first samples in our workshop. You try them on, give feedback, and together we adjust until it’s right.

    Sample rate

Our rate is €44.50 per hour (ex. VAT). Prior indication of hours. All samples and patterns are then your property.
You can also choose just a sample process to test first. Read more: having clothing samples made.

Are you unsure about production in the Netherlands vs. abroad?

Many brands consider clothing production in Portugal, Turkey, China, or Eastern Europe due to price or scale. That can make sense — depending on your phase, quantity, and strategy.

For starting brands, first collections, or test series, local production in the Netherlands can be more strategic. You can start small, adjust quickly, and communicate directly with the studio.

  • Small quantities possible (from 25–50 pieces)
  • Quick sample and correction rounds
  • Direct contact with makers
  • Less logistics and financial risk

Many brands choose a hybrid approach: first developing locally in the Netherlands, then possibly scaling up abroad once volumes justify it.

Frequently asked questions about clothing production in the Netherlands

What is the advantage of clothing production in the Netherlands?

Production in the Netherlands offers short lines, transparency, quick feedback, and better quality control. You also reduce transport and can make sustainability choices more easily. Read more about the differences between clothing production in the Netherlands vs abroad.

What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

For clothing, we often start from 25–50 pieces per style. For accessories, the minimum is usually higher. Smaller pilots are sometimes possible after a production consultation. Read more about clothing production with low MOQ.

What are the costs of clothing production in the Netherlands?

That depends on material, complexity, and quantity. In a production consultation, we create a clear quote with price per item and the choices that affect the budget. You can read more about costs in our article what does clothing production cost in the Netherlands.

What types of clothing production do you do and not do?

We specialize in cut & sew clothing production — that means clothing that is cut from fabric and sewn. Think of T-shirts, jackets, pants, dresses, workwear, and accessories made from woven or knitted fabrics. What we do not do is knitwear (like knitted sweaters or socks), crocheted products, printed merchandise without sewing, or shoe production. Are you unsure if your product fits with us? Contact us via the contact form — we are happy to help.

What is the difference between CMT and full-service clothing production?

In CMT (Cut, Make & Trim), you supply the fabrics and materials — we cut, sew, and finish. In full-service clothing production, we handle the entire process: from fabric sourcing and pattern development to production and finishing. Startups often choose full service, while experienced brands sometimes opt for CMT. More about our process in the clothing production guide.

What are the lead times for clothing production?

A sample is usually ready within 2–4 weeks after the design phase. After approval of the sample, a production run takes an average of 4–8 weeks, depending on complexity and quantity. Schedule an introductory meeting for a concrete timeline.
