Sustainable year-end gifts for companies
The end of the year is the moment to thank employees and relationships. Instead of a standard package, you choose with Atelier Jungles for sustainable year-end gifts with a story: locally produced in The Hague, often from upcycled textiles or recycled materials.
This way, your gift becomes more than just a nice gesture: it becomes a tangible proof of your sustainability ambition and appreciation.
Why choose sustainable year-end gifts?
Classic year-end packages are often fleeting: lots of packaging, little story. With a sustainable gift:
- you show that you make consistent sustainable choices, even in details;
- you strengthen your brand and employer brand towards employees and relationships;
- you reduce your waste stream and CO₂ footprint by using circular materials;
- you receive a gift that people actually use instead of putting away.
Our year-end gifts are designed and made in our social sewing workshop in The Hague, with attention to people, materials, and quality.
What kind of year-end gifts do we make?
Depending on your organization, number of employees, and budget, we develop a gift or complete package. Think of:
- Upcycled bags & shoppers made from old banners, workwear, or leftover materials.
- Laptop and tablet sleeves made from recycled textiles, with subtle branding.
- Interior and office items such as poufs, cushions, or organizers made from old work clothing.
- Accessories (scarves, beanies, cases) made from deadstock fabrics.
- Custom promotional gifts around a specific event, campaign, or sustainability goal.
We produce in small to medium-sized editions and can assemble variants for different locations or departments.
This is how a year-end gift process works
We keep the process deliberately clear, so you quickly know where you stand.
-
1. Introduction & inventory
We discuss the target group (employees, partners, customers), quantities, budget, and planning. We also look at whether there are any textile streams that we can upcycle. -
2. Concept & design
We develop one or more concepts with material proposals, type of product, and possible personalization (labels, embroidery, color). -
3. Sample & choice
You will receive one or several samples. After feedback, we make the final choice in design, colors, and details. -
4. Production in The Hague
In our workshop, the gifts are made by experienced craftsmen. We schedule production so that everything is ready well in advance. -
5. Packaging & delivery
We deliver the gifts packaged per employee if desired, including a card or story about the sustainable origin. -
6. (Optional) Impact reporting
You will receive insight into reused kilos of textiles and the estimated environmental impact. Useful for ESG reporting or internal communication.
Examples of circular year-end gifts
Below you will see examples of projects in which we have transformed textile waste into unique products. These cases clearly show what is possible for your own year-end gift.
Hockers made from old banners
For ImpactCity, discarded event banners were converted into sturdy stools for their meeting space. Each piece has a unique print and tells the story of the events where the banners once hung.
These types of products work excellently as an year-end gift for teams, partners, or community members: visible, usable, and completely circular.
Poufs made from mechanic clothing
In another project, we transformed large quantities of discarded mechanic clothing into round poufs for various locations. The recognizable colors and details remain visible, allowing employees to immediately recognize the material.
A similar approach can also work for your organization: old company clothing becomes an iconic gift for employees or clients.
From textile waste to a gift with a story
Large piles of work clothing may seem like pure waste at first glance – but in our workshop, they form the starting point for new products. From this stream, we created accessories and interior items, among others.
Imagine your year-end gift accompanied by a photo “before & after”: the old clothing and the new product. That sticks.

Upcycling your own textile streams
The most powerful year-end gift arises when we work with your own textiles:
- old work clothing, uniforms, or promotional clothing;
- trade show fabrics, banners, or flags;
- remnant rolls of fabric or collection surpluses.
We analyze together which pieces are suitable for upcycling and translate this into products that fit your brand: from gift bags to interior items for the office or home.
This reduces textile waste, better meets UPV objectives, and directly links your year-end gift to concrete sustainability.
For which organizations are our year-end gifts suitable?
We primarily work for organizations that take sustainability seriously and want to show it. Think of:
- Municipalities and (semi)governments that want to achieve circular goals.
- Companies with a lot of corporate clothing (logistics, energy, industry, public transport).
- Impact-driven scale-ups and corporates with ESG reporting.
- Events and festivals that want to give banners and materials a second life.
- Hospitality & retail that want to sustainably highlight their team and brand.
FAQ – frequently asked questions about sustainable year-end gifts
What is the minimum order quantity?
The minimum order quantity depends on the type of product. For many gifts, we work from about 50–75 pieces. For more complex items (like poufs or larger bags), the minimum order quantity may be higher. In an initial conversation, we will see what fits your request.
What is the lead time?
For year-end gifts, ideally count on 8–12 weeks from approval of the design. If we work with existing materials (like your own corporate clothing), we will first schedule a short inventory and testing phase.
Can we provide our own clothing or banners?
Yes, that's exactly what we excel at. We will assess together the quality and quantity of the textiles, and determine which products can realistically emerge from that. Where necessary, we combine your material with new, sustainable fabrics.
Can the gifts be personalized?
Certainly. We can work with embroidery, woven labels, printed patches, or personalized cards. This keeps the appearance calm and sustainable, but the gift is clearly connected to your organization.
Do you also provide an impact report?
If desired, you will receive a short impact summary: how many kilos of textiles have been reused, what type of material, and an indicative CO₂ or waste reduction. Useful for internal communication, annual reports, or ESG reporting.
Can we combine the gift with corporate clothing?
Yes, through our programs for sustainable corporate clothing we can align gifts and clothing lines. This creates one consistent, circular story.
